Rain

It 's rare for it to rain here this time of year but OMG

I had to put the top back on the Jeep

It has rained here every day for about a week now

The Jeep's cup holders are full of water and the carpets are soaked

It stopped raining for a few minutes so off to Vallarta we went.Me,Peg,Marty,Jodie and the kids.
Good thing I wasn't riding in the back seat.

Peg Marty and the kids did some shopping but Jodie and I didn't.Jodie had some food and I had some beer.

The sand castles were amazing as usual.

There was all the usual activities

Including the rock stacker

And the the wall sitters

Christmas stuff

Ye old pirate ship was also off in the distance

We decided on Bubba's cause it was for the kids

Our food was ok but the kids food was crap and it was all overpriced.

Forrest would not be happy

Just as we left the sky opened up and it poured like hell all the way home.Of course we all got very wet cause I haven't put the windows back in the Jeep as it's a pain in the ass

Patsy Cline

So Patsy Cline was in town

Sort of

Peg,Brenda,Jodie and some others went to see her at The Luna Lounge

Jodie is a big fan of hers

As you can probably tell from the look on her face

Marty was sleeping so that left it my turn to cook dinner

I took the kids to Tacos on the Street

What a country

Thursday

After I dumped the parents off at the resort we took the kids to the bar.

It's actually a bar and restaurant.

Denise and Dean had talked Gregg into making Chinese again so a few of us decided maybe we should go

It was also Jam Night or Open Mike Night or whatever else you may want to call it.

This couple was fantastic.The best I've seen in Mexico!

And she could sing too!

Now this dude was obviously not from Canada

Christmas

We don't do the gift thing anymore but Wendy made us a gift.

It is a book of our Europe trip.She actually stole all the pictures of the blog.

Fantastic gift

After opening the gift Peg started to get the dinner ready.

Jodie was the first to arrive

We were having 16 for dinner

All 16 showed up

The turkey was perfect along with the rest of the dinner

We even had a couple of drinks?

And Boy came back from the resort for dinner

I had driven him up to the All inclusive resort where he is staying for a week and being joined by JP and Wendy in 2 days

This is the Mummy's had a little wine look

That's what Christmas is all about Friends and family

Well here it is Christmas Day and it is a beautiful day today

Hot and sunny!

So someone around here has a cold sore.I won't mention her name.This is the box that her pills to get rid of the cold sore came in.Note the directions "Oral" nothing else like hoe many and how often.Just Oral

I guess that's just to make sure you know what end to shove them.

This should get me in hot water but what the hell it won't be the first time.

Last night we wanted to go to La Chocolat for dinner but the sign said "Gone Fishing"

Next we tried Masalas but they were booked solid

Like I said I won't mention who it is that has the cold sore.

Frascatti's it was and it was great as always

Then we went over to The Britania for some non Christmas music and a little fun

Once again Santa didn't find us cause he has never been able to find us yet in Mexico
OR  Maybe we were just too bad.
Hmmmmmmmm!

Christmas Eve

Well here it is the 24th of December

Yesterday we took Peg to Bucerias to get her nails done.That means we ended up on the beach drinking beer all day

Oh Dear!

Then it was The Britania for Texas holdem.

We all made the final table except Marty.Peg came about 10th,me 8th,JP 5th and Chris 2nd

It may be the 24th of December but Christmas here is really different

It doesn't really seem like Christmas but we are getting used to it.

No snow,no shovel,no gloves,no warming up the car and almost no clothes.

What a country

Again

Once again Sunday was not a day of rest.

We started out at Gecko's for breakfast

There are 9 family here now

Then it was back to the pool for the afternoon

Tacos on the Street for dinner

Then over to Ana Banana's for drinks

Just another day in the life.

Marty

Today we did nothing but lie around the pool.Chris and Jodie however decided  to be social butterflies and try and drink themselves into a stuper and guess what?
They succeeded.

Peg's brother Martin was coming around 7 so we thought we would eat early and then Peg and Wendy were going to take a cab to the airport and meet him.

We did go to the market and get some fresh jumbo shrimp for dinner so we devoured that.
Marty's plane however was a couple of hours late and then when he pushed the button it went red so that was another delay so they did not get back here till around 11:30pm

Some small talk and off to bed.

I have been very slack about doing the blog so I will try and catch up

Tuesday we did nothing

Wendy, JP,Beth and Alex arrived a little before 7pm on Wednesday
After a quick cold one we headed out for a bite
Franconi's it was for some pizza and calzone.

Then it was off to The Gecko

Wendy of course tried to hide under the table cloth but eventually out she came.

The kids seemed to find the jeep a good toy

Specially Alex

Thursday everyone just pooled it while I was sweating my xxxxx off helping Denise and Dean move.That was actually ok as Dean had lots of cold beer

Then it was in the pool for me too

They were all there

Just enjoying the weather

Wow! There's 3 different shapes for ya

All very handsome of course!

We were supposed to have arracherra for dinner but somehow mummy changed things to Frascatti's

Where a good meal was had as always.

Next it was over to The Gecko where the band was playing.

And the crowd was having fun

It's all about the fun

Friday morning it's back to the Gecko for breakfast cause the maid is at the house

Then it's back to the pool where the kids were trying to wrestle granny to the shallow part

Some just soaked up the sun while it was still around

Cause later it rained like hell even though it doesn't rain here in December
